Community Track Showcase: Five Reader-Favorite Polytrack Maps

Updated on October 7, 2025 Reading time: 5 min

Every week the Polytrack Discord submits new circuits for review. We drove dozens of community builds and narrowed them down to five maps that balance readability, flow, and replay value. Add them to your playlist whether you crave relaxed press-forward runs or surgical line work.

Selection criteria

  • Clarity: Landmarks and lighting guide you long before the apex.
  • Difficulty curve: Safe onboarding, meaningful mastery ceiling.
  • Ghost compatibility: Each map ships with a clear PB target.

Featured maps

1. Glacier Forward — Creator: Mira

A winter palette with gentle elevation changes and forgiving barrier placement. Perfect for first timers who want to learn press-forward principles without being punished for micro-mistakes.

  • Difficulty: Beginner
  • Lap length: 42 seconds
  • Ghost target: 40.20 (press forward, tap brake at T3)

2. Desert Ribbon — Creator: Lattice

Wide-angle camber turns framed by neon checkpoints. Teaches throttle modulation at medium speed. Ghost lines emphasise late apex entries—copy them to avoid drifting off the ribbon.

  • Difficulty: Intermediate
  • Lap length: 49 seconds
  • Ghost target: 47.30 (hold throttle, feather steering on S-bends)

3. Kacky Lite — Creator: Ninjam

Inspired by Trackmania’s Kacky series, this build rewards bravery without demanding frame-perfect tricks. Use the ghost to learn trick-line alternatives while maintaining readable speed.

  • Difficulty: Intermediate/Advanced
  • Lap length: 58 seconds
  • Ghost target: 56.90 (commit to the jump cut on lap two)

4. Nurburgring Sprint — Creator: Warden

A micro homage to the Nordschleife. High-speed straights feed into linked sweepers where weight transfer matters. Pair with the included WR ghost to practice brake release timing.

  • Difficulty: Advanced
  • Lap length: 64 seconds
  • Ghost target: 62.10 (trail brake to paint a single racing line)

5. Convergence Flow — Creator: Sprout

Flow-focused city skyline track built around three rhythm zones. Focus on keeping the car planted and reading the light cues that signal when to commit to stair-step jumps.

  • Difficulty: Intermediate
  • Lap length: 52 seconds
  • Ghost target: 50.40 (maintain throttle over the convergence ramp)

How to download community tracks safely

  1. Join the Polytrack Discord channel #map-share.
  2. Verify that the upload includes a checksum and screenshot.
  3. Drop the `.polytrack` file into your Documents/Polytrack/Tracks directory.
  4. Launch the game and load the map via Custom Tracks.

Tips for first attempts

Before chasing ghosts, run two reconnaissance laps to catalogue jump angles, braking markers, and recovery paths. If a map feels too punishing, clone it and place guide rails—most creators are happy to see derivative training versions.
